Starting an Email Marketing Campaign

One of the best ways to make money online is by creating a squeeze page, capturing your visitors name and email address, and then marketing a specific product or service to those opt-ins. Easier said then done for sure but once you have this system set up correctly, it can produce sales for you for quite some time.
Email marketing is sometimes known as the silent sales machine. Once you master how to get traffic to your website, you can then just set it and forget it. At that point people should be opting in to your newsletter and your autoresponder will automatically send those people the emails you already have preloaded.
Let me back up here and explain how you should set up your silent sales machine. The first thing you need to do is to set up your autoresponder. An autoresponder is an automatic email marketing company that will send your opt-ins whatever emails you want them to. Rules and regulations do apply. The only two autoresponder companies I would suggest are Aweber and Getresponse.
Once you have an autoresponder picked out, then you will need to write your emails. What I do is make a 10 day mini course that will provide a free and insightful look at whatever it is your site is promoting. At the end of each email I will live a little sales pitch and link to either my own product or an affiliate product. Somewhere in that 10 day mini course I will also put in two hard sells. Usually after day 3 and after day 10.
So you now have your 10 day mini course preloaded into your autoresponder, your next step is capture potential buyers names and emails. There are a few ways you can do this and I would test as many as possible.
The first idea is to create a lead capture page or also known as a squeeze page. This will be a sales page only it's not selling anything. You will use this page giving away bonuses and letting visitors know what you are giving away simply in exchange for their name and email. If you provide them with free information, more times than not they will take the bait.
You should also put an opt-in form on each and every page on your website. This opt-in should be above the fold and either top center or top left work best. Just be sure to make it clearly visible by either highlighting the text or using bright arrows pointing at the opt-in.
Some people also use a code to have a pop up or drop down opt-in form. You can set this up to pop up for the visitor after they have been on your site for 'X' amount of time.
